Seven Questions to Ask Before You Book a Carpet Cleaner in Charlotte

The $39 whole-house advert is not a price, it is a doorway. Here is what to ask so the number you are told is the number you pay.
1. Which method do you use?
You want hot water extraction (steam cleaning) for most residential carpet. It is what nearly every carpet manufacturer specifies for warranty purposes. Low-moisture bonnet cleaning has a place in commercial maintenance but is a surface clean, not a deep one.
2. Is the price per room or per square foot, and what counts as a room?
This is where most bait pricing lives. A "room" can be capped at 200 square feet, with a great room counting as two or three. Ask for the cap in writing. Our pricing is plain: $79 for two rooms or areas, $99 with pet treatment, $250 for a whole house up to 2,500 square feet.
3. What is not included?
Ask specifically about stairs, hallways, closets, furniture moving, pet treatment and protector. If those are all extras, the headline number is meaningless.
4. Who is actually turning up?
Owner-operators and franchise crews are different propositions. Neither is automatically better, but you should know whether the person quoting is the person cleaning. With us it is Brantley on nearly every job.
5. How long will it take to dry?
A straight answer here tells you about their extraction power. Four to eight hours with airflow is normal. If someone says "about a day", they are under-extracting.
6. Do you treat pet urine differently from a stain?
The right answer is yes, and it involves enzymes and sub-surface treatment. If pet odour is quoted as a light spray-on extra, it will not hold.
7. Are you insured, and will you look at photos first?
